Cat beds come in many different forms. Some are very simple and functional. These include basic fleece cushions as well as some options with a little more stability. Other designs may be more elaborate.
Higher quality and complex cat beds may be more elaborate for the cats comfort. These include being covered to allow the cat more privacy or being raised for a better vantage point. Some have toys built into their design for entertainment.
Cat beds may also make use of elaborate design for aesthetic purposes. In general, the cat is probably indifferent to whether a bed has a modern or antique design. However, an owner may wish for the bed to tie in with the rest of the décor of the home or specific room in which the bed is located.
