Dog bolster beds make use of a bolsters in their varying designs. A bolster is pillow or a cushion which is long and narrow. It may be filled with cotton, down, or fiber. It is commonly used by humans to offer head or back support.
When it comes to dog bolster beds, such designs can offer multiple benefits. For instance, some dogs may also prefer them for the neck support which they provide. Generally, dogs like the support around their back because it makes them feel safer, however.
Dog bolster beds come in many different sizes and styles. While they all include extra pillow or cushion elements, the exact amount of structure of that aspect will vary. For instance, some bolsters curve around the back, while others simply sit horizontal along one edge. Still others may operate in the same rigid fashion, yet have three existing along three edges, much like a couch.
