Pet crates are similar to pet carriers in function, but a crate is typically much larger and used to transport an animal much greater distances than a carrier. They are also used in people homes and yards to give their animal plenty of room but not be bothered by them. With a comfy bed and a few toys many dogs choose to sleep and hang out in their crate.
Pet crates come in many sizes depending on the size of the pet that will be using it. They are made from many materials such as aluminum, steel and other durable materials. The simplest are wooden crates with plenty of air holes drilled into them. Smaller versions might have a handle, but most are too big to be carried by one person with the animal inside.
Pet crates offer a safe place for any pet. It is safe from being harmed and it can be put in there to protect guests and people who fear dogs. With a little bit of fabric for shade they can be used outdoors as well, but there must be plenty of water for the animal. Pet crates are secure and durable.
